Colin Kaepernick Signs Deal on Docuseries With Disney
Disney has made a deal with Colin Kaepernick, former NFL quarterback and civil rights activist, on an exclusive docuseries from ESPN Films.
The docuseries will talk about stories from Kaepernick’s life. Covering his time as part of the San Francisco 49ers, to becoming a voice of protest against race inequality and police brutality.

A release date for this project has not yet been shared, as the deal was announced recently on July 6.
In a statement, Disney said that the docuseries will focus on “telling scripted and unscripted stories that explore race, social injustice, and the quest for equity.” As well as to “provide a new platform to showcase the work of Black and Brown directors and producers.”
The docuseries will be shared across many Disney platforms including, Walt Disney Television, ESPN, Hulu, Pixar and The Undefeated.

Due to Disney’s partnership with Kaepernick,a door has opened to address the conversation of race. The docuseries will give a chance for diverse voices to be heard and shared on a wide scale.

Although Kaepernick isn’t playing football anymore, he is putting his time and effort into something important beyond words; a fight for equality and justice.
This docuseries is an exciting project! Disney has yet to announce who else will be featured in this docuseries!
