No More Eating While Walking at Disney World
Just last week, all four Walt Disney World parks opened. With the opening came crowds of people wanting to experience the “Happiest Place on Earth.” Outside of Disney’s walls, cases of Coronavirus spiked in Florida.
Disney prepared different methods to keep their parks safe. Masks have to be worn, temperatures have to be taken, and there must be social distancing within the park. All these precautions seem great, but Disney failed to see one giant problem.
Walt Disney World Rule Change: you can no longer drink/eat while you walk as a way to avoid wearing your mask — you must be stationary to eat/drink and be socially-distanced $DIS
Why are these parks open again? and why is this fun/vacation?

A big part of Disney is the food. Whether you want to stroll around with a Mickey Bar or an Orange Dole Whip, Disney World makes it convenient to grab a snack. However with new measures in place, to eat and walk is now simply to eat and stand.
No More Eating and Walking (dun dun dun)
The new policy states, “You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you should be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing.” Under the Orlando heat, it might be hard to not just take a sip of water while walking around the grounds. However, now you have to stand or take a seat.
Sick of guests @ Disney Springs not covering their noses with their masks or walking around with a closed water bottle in their hands as a “loophole” to avoid wearing a mask. It’s so ignorant to the employees who get paid nothing to work harder than usual to keep you safe/healthy

One article from The Points Guy says, “Guests must now go to a designated “mask relaxation zone” with distanced tables or similar if they need to remove their masks for any reason, including to cool down.” So make sure to map those locations out on your next trip to Disney.
A Disney Park almost run by its plethora of international cuisine is Epcot. This addition to the rules also comes during Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival. Epcot is relatively spread out as is, but without the sit-down restaurants, finding places to sit is difficult.
Most theme parks haven’t put in place this fixture to the loophole. It seems as though Disney might be the harbinger for change in the safety of Florida theme parks.
